Data Acquisition and Visualisation

After gaining knowledge on opportunities of machine data acquisition and visualisation, the main sources of data in a manufacturing company and the related protocols (MQTT, Modbus), and formats (CSV, JSON, XML). You will set up pipelines to acquire data from different devices (even a real machine) and prototype a monitoring dashboard, creating you own visualisations with low-code solutions.  

Objectives: 

• Raise awareness on opportunities of machine data acquisition & visualization for the manufacturing industry. 
• Introduce main sources of data in a manufacturing company. 
• Imagine a solution for your business.

Outline/Content:
Impulse presentations on the topic and demonstrator hardware Hands-on onboarding 

• deal with different data formats and protocols (e.g. JSON, CSV, MQTT, Modbus) using Node-Red 
• build visualization dashboard with Grafana 

Mini-hackathon to create a visualization solution for demonstrator hardware.
